One of the best things about the Air Jordan 6 Retro is the customization; customer preferences for insoles and colorways can be accommodated.
If you feel like the cushion is wanting, you can always opt to change the insoles. Cushioning for the underfoot is on the minimal side. However, this is mitigated through the embedded Air Units and the dense polyurethane material. The impact caused by moving your feet gets taken in decently.
A good array of materials is also offered by this pair. This will be based on the colorway that the customer agrees with. The Carmine colorway, for one, features two layers of material situated throughout the upper and forefoot parts of the shoe. The leather and nubuck sections give excellent support, fit, and flex for those parts.
Traction is very good. It gives a great grip regardless of the movements you perform. But you know how it is with good outsoles; with great care and maintenance, the best traction will be maintained. The fit provided was decent at best due to the minimal cushioning except at the heel and collar parts.
Ventilation is the best characteristic of this design. Lots of perforations are built on the shoe plus they are not lined with too much material as well to disrupt good air circulation.
Support will depend on the kind of material you pick. The Carmine colorway option with its leather and nubuck sections did well in terms of flexibility and support. When it comes to durability, this has plenty to provide as well.
This is not the most stellar among Nike footwear offerings but it’s not bad either. If you are after excellent traction, ventilation, and maximum durability, you can always rely on this piece. If you have problems with specific parts of the pair, you can always go for a material or insole swap.
