Your feet take you where you want to go, endure incredible stress and strain and are often stuffed into cramped, uncomfortable (but stylish) shoes for hours at a time. They’re subjected to extremes of heat and cold and have to put up with water, slush, mud and everything else nature can throw at them over the course of a day. So when that day is done they’ve earned a break. And slippers are how you give them that break. When you slide into your slippers you can almost hear your poor, tired feet saying “Ahhhh, thank you!” To find the right pair of slippers you can spend hours hopping from store to store. Or you can simply take a look at our list of the best slippers for women.
The Best Slipper For Women
1. Clpp’Li Fluffy Suede Slippers For Women

Synthetic rubber sole.
Soft synthetic suede upper.
Faux fur lining.
Indoor or outdoor use.
Slip on and off.
1 year limited warranty.
The Clpp’Li Women’s Fluffy Suede Slippers hit all the right beats. They’re easy on/easy off, they have a luxurious-feeling faux fur lining, a grippy synthetic rubber sole and you don’t have to fear to wear them outside to get something from the car. That faux fur lining is so plush in fact that you’ll have to go up 1 full size to get a pair that fits properly. But that’s a small thing to ask for womens slipper boots that are so comfortable, durable and yes, affordable. Remember to keep them out of the washing machine and they should be spoiling your feet for years to come. Our Best Choice. If you like to buy ones for your man, check out our guide to the best slippers for men.
These fur slippers are surprisingly durable and can easily be worn outdoors in low impact situations.
The faux fur lining is soft as can be and keeps your feet warm as toast on cold nights.
The sole can handle just about any type of surface and will even hold its own on slippery walkways.
Be careful outside because they do indeed slide off easy.
2. RockDove Two-Tone Memory Foam Slippers For Women

Memory foam insoles.
Hands-free on/off.
Cotton/spandex blend.
Genuine rubber sole.
Outstanding support.
Breathable waffle knit fabric.
We love the way the RockDove Two-Tone Memory Foam Slippers look and feel. They have a clean, minimalist profile that’s unapologetically forward-looking. They slip on with zero effort and seem to fold in around your feet in an extremely satisfying way. The memory foam midsole lays out the red carpet for your feet and sets a new standard of comfort for others to match. The fabric upper is composed of 95% cotton with 5% Spandex woven in to ensure they give way as your foot moves. And the genuine rubber sole ensures you won’t slip if you step outside on a damp day.
Very simple and clean lines make for an attractive modernist profile.
The memory foam, cotton and spandex mix is so comfortable you’re not going to want to take them off.
You can venture outdoors with them on, just make sure you don’t walk on wet grass or on muddy surfaces.
Although they’re toasty warm the waffle knit upper is also highly breathable.
They can be a challenge to clean if you spill something on them.
3. Vionic Relax Slipper For Women

Slide on, slide off.
Hook and loop closure.
Medium density EVA midsole.
Rugged TPR outsole.

The Women’s Relax Slipper from Vionic has a non-traditional look to it but don’t let that fool you. These are women’s house shoes that embrace comfort and ease of use and are fashioned from high-quality materials that are going to stand the test of time. The hook and loop system is nice, but once you set it to your preferred level of snugness you likely won’t ever have to reset it. The TPR (thermoplastic rubber) outsole is durable and grippy, the terry cloth lining is smooth as silk and the antimicrobial treatment will fend off the stinkies. Make sure you also check our guide to the best slides for women.
These bedroom slippers are engineered from the ground up to be as comfortable as possible.
The adjustable strap lets you determine exactly how snug you want them to hold you.
The EVA midsole provides surprisingly robust support for something that looks like a piece of carpet with a sole attached.
The antibacterial treatment in the footbed staves off the development of noxious odors.
While they’re surprisingly supportive they’re also surprisingly expensive.

Women and men have enjoyed the easy comfort of traditional moccasins for centuries and with these Genuine Suede Slippers Alpine Swiss does womens moccasin slippers right. From the cozy faux fur lining to the padded midsole to the high-quality stitching and the leather bow, these ladies slippers touch all the bases. What seals the deal is that you can easily wear them for low impact outdoor activities as well.
The well-worn design is given a nice light touch with the new colors.
These are some of the only fur slippers that we’d feel totally comfortable venturing beyond the porch in.
Very comfy slippers with the faux fur lining that won’t irritate the skin if you go barefoot.
Over time it seems likely some separation will develop between sole and upper.

Thermoplastic rubber outsole.
Supple suede upper.

Homeldeas tosses their moccasin into the ring for consideration and it easily secures a place on our list of best slippers for women. The memory foam insole is one of the most important innovations in slipper design in the past decade and here it’s executed to perfection. You’ll start to think about keeping a pair at the office they’re so comfy. But beyond that HomeIdeas Suede Slippers are also very well-made, the suede upper is a treat to run your fingers across and the TPR outsole will stand up to years of household use. 6. Isotoner Women’s Classic Terry Clog Slippers

Memory foam insole.
Soft terry cloth upper.
Outstanding arch support.
Genuine rubber sole.
Very light and flexible.
Indoor or light outdoor use.
While we weren’t crazy about the duckbill profile of the Isotoner Women’s Classic Terry Clog Slippers we couldn’t argue with the comfort and quality. That quality is evident in the genuine rubber sole, the soft weave of the terrycloth upper and the 5mm of memory foam that cradles your feet. These puppies slip on and off effortlessly and are toasty warm. Just be mindful that their extra plush nature calls for you to order a size up to get a good fit.
We can’t get enough of the memory foam insoles and neither will you.
Some colors like the heather grey and the navy lend themselves well to outdoor use.
Just to put a big fat cherry on the cake you can pop them right in the washing machine when they get dirty.
While you can toss them in the laundry we’d advise you not to do it too often.
7. UGG Women’s Scuffette II Slipper

100% sheepskin upper.
Genuine rubber outsole.
Water resistant.
Natural wool footbed.
For indoor or outdoor use.
From the water-resistant suede upper to the soft, supple sheeps wool lining the UGG Scuffette II Slipper is designed to provide you all the warmth and comfort you want in your bedroom footwear. These are hands-free slide on/slide off slippers with a rubber outsole that will withstand the occasional foray into the driveway or even to the store. They don’t cramp your toes, irritate your skin or slide off when you want them to stay on. And the amount of soft, snuggly wool inside is a beautiful thing. Our handy guide to the best running sandals features more great products like this.
The 100% sheepskin upper makes for a more durable design with fewer potential issues.
Being water resistant you don’t have to worry too much about wearing them outdoors.
The rubber outsole holds the ground even when things get a bit slippery.
The thick white fur around the collar is going to attract dirt once you step outside.
8. Wishcotton Light Breathable Slippers

Cotton blend upper.
Memory foam insole.
Stylish and comfortable.
Soft cotton fabric lining.
Genuine rubber sole.
Snug yet forgiving fit.
We love the classic look of Wishcotton Light Breathable Slippers. They look like what you’d get in a 5-star hotel. But beyond their posh profile, they also deliver in the comfort department with 3mm of memory foam in the footbed, a soft brushed cotton lining and a breathable fabric upper. You’ll need to engage your hand to get them on. But if you can get past that there’s a lot to like here, including the fact that they’re machine washable.
These are very stylish looking slippers you can conceivably wear while entertaining.
They hold your foot firmly which is good if you want to venture outside in them.
The cotton weave upper is extremely breathable so even though they’re snug they stay cool.
More of a formal slipper and less of a kick-back slipper.
9. Wishcotton Breathable Memory Foam Slippers

Memory foam insole.
Sleek comfortable design.
Cotton blend upper.
Genuine rubber sole.
Easy care machine wash.
This is another very affordable pair of womens slippers from Wishcotton that are simple in design but complex in the many ways they pamper your feet. Including the memory foam insole, the flexible but grippy outsole, the breathable knit fabric upper and the terry cloth interior lining. Wishcotton Breathable Memory Foam Slippers share design characteristics with the RockDove although they don’t share the same material and build quality. Still, they’re an attractive and comfy discount women’s slipper. Find more great products like this by checking out our guide to the best shoes for Zumba.
The upper is very breathable which helps fend off moisture driven bacteria.
Durable but flexible rubber sole holds fast to even the slipperiest surface.
When they get dirty you can just pop them into the washing machine then hang them out to dry.
While they’re very comfortable the upper doesn’t hold its shape all that well.
10. Amazon Essentials Women’s Leather Moccasin

100% rubber sole.
Genuine suede upper.
Faux fur lining.
Flexible, supportive midsole.
Minimalist womens moccasin slippers.
Indoor or limited outdoor use.
The third moccasin-derived women’s slipper on our list comes courtesy of Amazon itself. Their plan to bring global retail to its knees continues unabated. And if they keep pumping out high-quality offerings like these Women’s Leather Moccasins they just might succeed. These slip-ons with minimal fuss, feature a plush faux fur lining, have a rubber sole that can stand up to indoor and outdoor surfaces and a genuine suede upper that’s soft and conforms to the shape of your feet. Be sure to also check out our list of the best boat shoes for women for more great items like this.
They’re comfortable and reasonably durable with a nice soft faux fur lining.
The genuine suede upper is forgiving and wears well over time.
They’re a little wider in the forefoot than other moccasins which is definitely a plus.
The narrow sole sometimes doesn’t play nice with the wider forefoot.
They’re a bit overpriced.
11. UGG Women’s Fluff Yeah Slide Slippers

Australian sheepskin upper.
Genuine rubber outsole.
Elastic heel strap.
10mm sheepskin insole.
Warm yet breathable.
Lightweight and flexible.
Part of the charm of slippers is that they’re often so un-stylish that they make an emphatic statement regarding your intentions: “You see my shoes? I’m not going anywhere!” The UGG Women’s Fluff Yeah Slide Slippers fit this attitude to a T. You wouldn’t want to be seen out in polite society wearing these but they’re just right for putzing around the house on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. They’re warm, cozy, have a full sheepskin upper and if it weren’t for the unfortunate brand-related strap they’d be pretty close to perfect.
These womens house slippers take warm and frumpy to new heights.
The sheepskin upper is durable and ridiculously comfortable.
The EVA midsole and genuine rubber outsole provide long term durability you don’t find in every pair of ladies slippers.
The heel strap nearly undoes all the good things the rest of the slipper does. It’s a needless and unwanted add-on that’s there strictly for branding purposes.
12. Jessica Simpson Comfort Spa Slippers

Memory foam insole.
Textured synthetic rubber outsole.
Easy slip on/slip off.
Indoor use only.
Hand wash cold water only.
You probably don’t know anyone who could name you a Jessica Simpson song. Fortunately, you don’t need to know her discography in order to appreciate the womens slippers she lent her name to. Jessica Simpson Comfort Spa Slippers embrace cutesy femininity with lots of pink and puff. They slip on and off without a care, feature a nice soft bed of memory foam and are available in black, ivory and pink. Our selection of the best shoes for pregnancy offers some amazing footwear, so check them out.
If you like your women’s fur slippers to be cutesy and comfy you can’t lose with these.
The memory foam buried in the midsole makes all the difference.
The fluffy synthetic lining is non-irritating and surrounds you with those warm, fuzzy feelings.
A couple of washings and that puff ball on the toes isn’t going to look so puffy.
13. Mae Women’s Fuzzy One-Strap Slipper

Open toe comfort.
Faux fur lining.
Synthetic rubber sole.
Easy on, easy off.
Flexible EVA midsole.
Soft fleece lining.
If you happen to be a Star Trek fan you’re going to take one look at the Mae Women’s Fuzzy One-Strap Slipper and think “Tribble”. But besides the obvious pop culture fun, you’ll have with these they’re seriously comfy slippers that will produce very happy feet. With the Mae designers, there’s no such thing as too much faux fur. Fortunately, the overall build quality is excellent so you’ll be able to embrace your inner Zsa Zsa Gabor for years to come.
They provide unabashed comfort from the minute you slip into them.
They’re delightfully impractical bedroom slippers not meant to be worn outside.
The soft flexible midsole is extremely forgiving and doesn’t fight back when you walk.
They’re sort of like wearing dusters on your feet so stay clear of dirty, dusty places.
14. UGG Women’s Cozette Slipper

Dyed lambswool upper.
10 mm sheepskin midsole.
Treadlite sole by UGG.
Easy on/easy off design.
Lightweight and warm.
The Women’s Cozette Slipper from UGG is one whose sole suggests it’s ready for the mall or an afternoon out with friends. But whose fluffy pink upper says “Don’t take me past the front door”. So why did they make our list? Well, because they’re comfy enough to be good home-only slippers. They have a durable synthetic rubber sole that will let you take them into the yard. They come in 5 different colors so you might be able to slide by in public in the black ones. And they’re very well-made from top to bottom. Beware however, that they are expensive. Don’t forget to also check our guide to the best shoes for walking on concrete.
The UGG Treadlite sole won’t back away from short trips outdoors in virtually any conditions.
The lambswool upper retains its soft and comfortable feeling no matter how much you wear them.
They suffer something of an identity crisis with an indoor-only upper and an outdoor sole.
UGGs misguided branding efforts resurface with the irritating heel tag.
15. Teva Women’s W Ember Moc Slipper

Ripstop nylon upper.
Quilted to retain heat.
Leather toe and accents.
Synthetic rubber sole.
Toasty warm but breathable.
The last item on our list of best slippers for women are Teva Women’s W Ember Moc Slippers. Part running shoe, part slipper and part quilt they take the cake as far as imaginative design goes. But the best news is that they work. If you just want slippers to plod about the house, they’re great for that. If you decide you need to run out to the store for something, they’re great for that too. They’re not going to be everyone’s cup of tea but they’re very comfy slippers, very well-built and very versatile. That’s a lot of very good things.
They’re an interesting cross between womens house slippers and running shoes.
You might be reluctant to try them but once you do you’re going to love the form-fitting comfort.
The textured outsole won’t slip out from under you even on slick pavement.
They don’t really qualify as “leave me alone” type womens house slippers.
Slipper For Women Buying Guide
How We Chose Our Selection Of Slippers For Women
Brand - With a product like this we don’t give too much weight to brand considerations. Sometimes you can’t even be sure where your favorite footwear brand is being made these days and whether they’ve abandoned quality control in favor of bigger margins. So we didn’t go looking for specific brand names to populate our list. We looked instead for high-quality products. Some of them are bound to be recognizable brand names simply because those companies enjoy such stellar market penetration. But it’s quality first, brand identity second.
Price - The price of slippers varies greatly. Sometimes a higher price correlates directly to a higher quality product. Sometimes though it’s just a function of the brand name. But again, we’re after high-quality products first and foremost. If that high-quality product is from an established brand and costs more than others, so be it. If it’s from a little known company and can be had for a fraction of the cost of the brand name that’s what we call value. Still, none of the slippers on our list are going to require a second mortgage to purchase. They’re slippers. Not luxury autos.
Reviews - In the case of ladies slippers our product testing team collected dozens of different makes and models and put them to the test. We then based our judgment primarily on our experience. But because we’re open-minded types who understand the value of outside input we also scoured cyberspace and read countless user reviews. Simply because they can sometimes be helpful in pointing out things we might have missed.
Features To Look For In Slippers For Women
Material - Slippers are all about comfort. You slide them on at the end of the day when you want to treat your feet to a little TLC. Therefore, it’s important that the materials used promote a sense of comfort above and beyond all else. That said, the materials also need to be durable because you don’t want your comfy slippers falling apart the second time you wear them. As such we’re looking for materials such as:
- Suede - Suede not only provides women's house slippers with a nice warm, fuzzy face it’s also a durable material that isn’t going to let you down (provided the stitching is up to snuff). Suede also endows your slippers with an air of casual sophistication.
- Sheepskin - Sheepskin is extremely durable as well as being comfortable, warm and easy on the eye. And because sheepskin is both leather and wool you don’t have to worry about the warm liner separating from the shell.
- Leather - Leather is another indoor/outdoor material with perhaps more of an emphasis on outdoor use. Leather slippers are usually very comfortable once they’ve been broken in and have been known to last many years as long as you don’t wear them while working or playing sports.
- Cotton - Cotton slippers are lightweight and comfortable. They’re also among the easiest to clean. However, cotton slippers for women are not known for being particularly durable.
Soles - Slipper soles are typically made of either genuine or synthetic leather. In some cases, you’ll find women's slippers with rubber soles or even cloth. Cloth bottom sneakers, however, aren’t likely to be useful outside the bedroom and won’t do such a good job keeping your feet warm in the winter when the floors are cold.
Comfort - You wear slippers because you want your feet to be comfortable. So, as we said earlier, comfort is king. Or in this case queen. The best slippers for women should be flexible, non-binding, warm and forgiving. They should slide on effortlessly and slip off just as easy. If the slippers pinch your feet in any way or the wool or faux fur lining irritates your skin, or the sole is so thin you can feel every imperfection in the floor, then it’s time to find a better pair of slippers.
