Nike ACG Air Terra Antarktik
For those of you not familiar with the snake sub-label, ACG stands for All Conditions Gear and has been around for over 30 years now. It’s one of their high-performance collaborations and is all about equipping city-dwelling adventurers and the stylish hiking types with outdoor but fashion-forward clothing and footwear. Their latest release is the highly covetable Nike ACG Air Terra Antarktik, which they’re boldly describing as “the ultimate winter shoe.” We have to say; it’s about as a mean as a sneaker gets. It definitely gets our thumbs up and is designed to resemble a boot, featuring plenty of weatherproof Gore-Tex boots to keep the elements out and your feet dry. That Gore-Tex upper is then combined with a super sticky and aggressive rubber outsole that gives plenty fo secure traction under for even in rain, snow, and sleet. So yes, you could stay that this is one sneaker that will see you through the winter months.
It also features your usual Nike Air cushioning, so you’re not sacrificing comfort for security. Talking of which, the Nike ACG Air Terra Antarktik features a cage lacing system alongside easy access Velcro closures that give the nod to their technical clothing range. It’s the same styling you’ll find on the sleeves of their winter jackets. If you’re the style-conscious type and want to know what colors it’s currently available in, you won’t be disappointed either. It comes in three exceptionally wearable colorways, including grey-green with black, white with green and gold, as well as a midnight black and turquoise.
Why would you bother with clunky snow boots when you can still look stylish and stay safe and dry with these functional and fashionable modern sneakers on your feet instead? They’re outdoorsy yes, technically designed too, but they still look like something you’d want to be seen in, no matter what the weather. Marketed as a “jacket for your foot,” you might want to hit that buy button right now as a sneaker as cool and cozy as this won’t be around for long.
