While some people loathe the cold and gloomy days, others simply go through winter with little or no positive energy. 1. Embrace the Season

This helps us to breathe in fresh air and appreciate the good gift given to us by nature. However, the weather requires that you kit up to avoid catching a cold or flu. You can put on head warmers, technology-friendly gloves and also carry along with you a large scarf or muffler.
2. Pick up New Interests
It’s not surprising if you feel sluggish during this period, but you can as well do yourself a favor by picking up hobbies that interest you. This way, you get to focus your attention and energy on something that you actually love doing. 5. Take Out Time to Exercise
You will agree that, for the majority of us, we have forgotten about our New Year’s resolutions by February. And the only goal driving us is how to survive the winter without freezing to death. It has been scientifically proven that regular exercise improves mental health and mood. Simple exercises like skipping, organizing and arranging, and squat can go a long way in alleviating your lethargy. So, take out time to draft out an exercise schedule convenient for you, arrange your office and workspace, clean up places frequently used and you’ll be amazed at how wonderful you end up feeling. 6. Eat Good Food
Foods rich in protein, vitamins B and D, carbohydrates and omega-3 fatty acids are wonderful mood-boosting supplements. So, instead of filling your belly with lots of sugar, pick up a fruit and enjoy. You might also want to call a friend or co-worker to join you over a cup of coffee or a delightful meal.
Apart from eating good food, you also have to drink a lot of water during the winter. This is because the body tends to be dehydrated during this period. In line with this, medical experts recommend that you drink at least 2 liters of water daily. This simple action can go a long way in boosting your health and mind.
Try as much as you can to avoid unhealthy diets, so your body can be fortified with rich nutrients to fight against the adverse weather conditions. 7. Make the Best of It

Since winter comes with little or no sunlight, you may need to get a natural lightbox. Although sunlight is necessary to increase the level of serotonin which also works to suppress melatonin – a chemical that makes you drowsy, it is designed specifically to provide our bodies with the light we often lack. Although, this product cannot entirely satisfy our bodies with the amount of serotonin that it needs, having it close to you will suffice.
